Pregnancy: Week 38

38 Weeks: Have you ever had a baby shower with 75 people, with 71 of them being 6th graders? My amazing team (and friends) Alicia and Valerie, planned a baby shower for me to celebrate with the entire 6th grade. We had a blast! They had several baby game centers, treats, and prizes. Parents volunteered to help or donated cupcakes. I couldn't believe everything. Even though the students were told they didn't have to bring gifts, most of them did. I feel so blessed for having such a great team and group of students that made my life easy during this pregnancy. I am going to miss them all so much when this baby comes.

I almost made it my entire pregnancy wearing my wedding ring. It still fits most of the time, but I am nervous of it getting stuck and having to cut it off if my hands decide to swell up. Instead, this week I've been wearing a pearl ring that use to belong to my Oma.

Good news! Since massaging my feet they have not been swollen all week! Hurray! You can actually see my ankle and everything looks normal. Thank goodness.

My doctor visit went well this week. Baby boy is about 7 pounds 6 ounces and everything looks great. I'm still dilated at a 2 (The doctor said I wasn't quite a 3) and I was told to stay active.

Silly boy has his arm up by his face!

On a sad note, Nathan is sick. He has a cough and the sniffles. We've quarantined him to the bed room and I've been disinfecting everything. I hope he gets better quickly. I'm praying our little boy waits to come until his daddy is better.

But to end on something happy, here are some maternity pictures we took this week! (We were cutting it close with the light, so some of the photos didn't turn out as well. But I still love them!)
