15 Months Old

We've had some fun adventures in the last couple of months.

We got to enjoy row 14 seats at the Jazz Game. It was a blast! Stockton had so much fun cheering and yelling during the game. He really gets into it.

Easter was lots of fun with Stockton being older. It was so cute watching him walk around with is little basket, wearing his little bunny ears. He didn't quite grasp onto the concept of picking things up and putting them in his basket, but it was still a good time. We were able to go to a neighborhood Easter hunt where Stockton got to meet the Easter Bunny. He wasn't too sure about him. We also had an egg hunt in my parents' backyard.

The beginning of May Stockton got to go in the Idaho Falls Temple for their Open House. Nathan told Stock that the oxen at the baptismal font were cows and he started mooing. Haha! Stockton also discovered that the Celestial Room was a great place to hear an echo. He really did awesome through the whole thing though.

We celebrated all day with family on May 13, for Karl and Chelsea's wedding. Stockton looked so hands-on dressed up in his blue bow tie with a black vest and pants. He looked so grown up! Stock was a hit on the dance floor. He's got the best moves!

And of course we've been outside as much as possible. Going on walks everyday, a couple of little hikes, playing at the park, and riding a horse for the first time. Stockton was definitely not a fan of the latter.

Stockton is our best buddy!

12 Months Old

STOCKTON IS ONE YEAR OLD!!!! I can't even believe it! My baby boy is one! What an amazing, hard, wonderful, perfect year it has been! We are so glad he is a part of our family!

Stockton is so much fun! I feel like I say that a lot, but he really is just the sweetest little boy and he loves to interact with us. Nathan and I say it all the time and we wonder how we got such an amazing kid? One of the cutest moments was when we were at Lowes and Nathan would count to three and push Stockton quickly down the isle. Stock quickly caught on to this fun game and would start to playfully scream before Nathan could even say the number three.

This past month Stockton has grown so much! It's been fun watching him learn how to walk and become more confident in himself. From cruising, to holding both hands, pushing around "walkers", to one hand, and finally walking in-between us. Stockton officially started walking and standing up on his own a couple of days after his first birthday on March 14.

Stockton loves everyone, loves life, and loves learning. He's still obsessed with books and we read several times a day. When Nathan gets home, Stock perks right up and is so happy to see him.

The day of Stockton's birthday we did lots of little things as a family. We made him waffles with strawberries and a smoothie for breakfast. Let him practice smashing a cake so we could get cute 1 year old pictures. And then went to Station Park as a family for a picnic, more 1 year old pictures, and to enjoy the fountain and beautiful weather.

I made Stockton a "healthy" cake for his birthday. It was made with bananas, applesauce, wheat flour,  and blueberries. The frosting was cream cheese and vanilla yogurt. Then I decorated with more blueberries on top. It worked out really well, but it was a little harder to "smash" because it was more of a dense cake.

We celebrated with family on Sunday, March 12. It was so fun to have everyone over for cupcakes and ice cream and to celebrate Stockton. We had a little slideshow of his life playing on the projector while everyone visited and the cousins played. Stockton loved having all of his cousins around. He was super spoiled with lots of love and gifts from everyone.

I love that Stockton and I basically have the same birthday. He is the greatest birthday present I have ever gotten! I am so blessed to have this sweet boy in my life!
