11 Months Old

It's almost been an entire year with this sweet boy! 11 whole months! Stockton had some more "firsts" this past month. He finally learned how to clap and it's the cutest! I think he was trying to sign "more" because we've been working on a few baby signs, but he started clapping and I got all excited so he kept doing it. I love to see how proud he is of himself when he learns something new.

On January 14, just after Stockton turned 10 months old, he got to participate in the Jazz Baby Crawling Contest. It was a fun experience, however, it made Stockton super nervous. He's an amazing crawler, but with all the noise and everything going on he didn't want to crawl and cried until I held him. Poor boy. We still had fun though.

Stockton got his first haircut on January 29. It was a little tricky having him sit on Nathan's lap, but it worked and he looked so handsome. Stock's haircut makes him look so much older too. He's cruising around everywhere and is super fast. This boy will be walking in no time. He loves to push his highchair or laundry baskets around the house to help him walk without our help.

Other things Stockton has learned this last month is how to stack the rings all by himself, opening cupboards and drawers (obviously this is the funnest place to play), doing a face palm, and making a weird airy grunt sound in the back of his throat.

We haven't had too many exciting adventures outside of home this month. We've enjoyed staying inside by the warm fire and watching the snow fall outside. We never found a good snowsuit for Stock so we would layer him up with what we had when we took him out in the snow for a couple of minutes to explore.

Stockton really is the sweetest boy and I can't believe he's going to be ONE next month!

 At 11 Months Stockton:
  • Is getting his top two teeth. (The top right is cutting through first.)
  • Plays with and can stack his rings.
  • Says, "uh uh uh uh uh" for "uh oh"
  • Loves to push around his highchair and laundry baskets to walk.
  • Copies sounds well. (My favorite is his silent airy scream!)
  • Gets into everything!
  • Claps his hands when asked, hears yay, or sees others clapping.
