Camping at Buffalo

This last weekend Nathan's work had a campout. We weren't originally planning on going, but his boss kept asking us to come. So we went and it was awesome!

We went to the Buffalo Campground and it was beautiful. There were wildflowers all around our camp and we were right next to the river. We couldn't of asked for a better spot. I kind of went a little crazy with pictures because I just loved how pretty and peaceful everything was.

How could we not take pictures with these  flowers?

It was a lot of fun staying on the same campsite as Nathan's boss. He has the cutest little family. His little boys kept picking me flowers (even though I told them to leave them where they were) and saying, "The prettier you are the more flowers you get. So you're going to get lots of flowers." So cute! They kept putting them on our tent for me to find too.

That night we made some s'mores. The kids were amazed with our huge marshmallows! (They were messy.)

The next day we kayaked and floated the river with everyone. It was perfect because it was slow and shallow! We saw lots of little fish, bald eagles, a beaver dam, and.... a river otter!! I was so excited when it swam by and I happened to have the camera ready and going!!!

It was easier to walk the kayak back up the river than paddle or carry it up.

On the way home we stopped at Mesa Falls and did a little hike! Waterfalls are seriously one of my very favorite things about nature!!! I love the sound they make and the mist you can see. They are so powerful and majestic!

I am so grateful our Heavenly Father has created such a beautiful world for us to enjoy! I can't wait to go camping again.
