Spring Break in Arizona: Part 1

We had such an awesome Spring Break in Arizona with our amazing friends, the Leavitt's! It was nice to just soak in the sun and hang out with our friends every single day. We didn't have a care in the world!

When we flew out of Idaho Falls it was cold, windy, and snowing... Blah! Then we landed in Arizona. We were greeted with sunshine, birds chirping, and warmth. Much better! Karly's aunt and uncle picked us up and took us to the cute trailer park we would be staying at that Karly's grandparents own.

Now when I say trailer park, you're probably thinking that doesn't sound too great. But let me tell you this cute little trailer park, about a half mile away from he Mesa Temple, is like a little piece of heaven. It was so quaint and happy with all of the snowbirds that lived there. Plus there were citrus trees everywhere! Yep, like I said, it's a little piece of heaven there.

Once we were all settled in we rushed off to get some dinner and shop for food for the week. Then it was straight to bed so the boys could wake up early and get our rental car.

.....................................

You will never guess what Nathan and Wade came back with once they got the rental car..... They came back in massive truck! A TRUCK?! lol What were they thinking? I guess that's what happens when boys get offered a free upgrade.

We started off the day picking grapefruit for breakfast right out our door. It was awesome! Then we explored Mesa and Phoenix. We went to an outdoor mall and the Arizona Cardinals Stadium. We had to check out their field on wheels. I really enjoyed seeing a new area and the beautiful weather.

Later that day we went to visit someone from Wade's mission and they had an orchard of citrus trees! You have no idea how excited I was. They let us pick a garbage bag full of oranges, tangerines, lemons, grapefruits, and kumquats. All of the trees were gorgeous with their bright citrus colored fruit speckled throughout the dark green leaves. Ivy was super cute trying to eat the oranges.

Then we bought me a new softball glove and headed to a Spring Training game for the night. It was super relaxing and fun chilling on the grass watching the game. Wade and Karly's cute little Ivy was a champion all day long partying with us.
