Man! I can't believe I turned 25 last weekend. I've been prepping for it and kept telling myself I was going to be 25 all through February. I even accidentally said I was 25 to one of my students when they were trying to guess my age... But now it's official. I've lived for a quarter of a century.
My birthday weekend was pretty great! I got to spend time with awesome friends and my family. Nathan and I hung out with Mitch and Jenny. We had Costa Vida for dinner and kept trying to say tongue twisters. We were laughing pretty hard. I cannot say soldier, shoulder, surgery to save my life! We tried to rent Catching Fire from Redbox, but they were out of stock everywhere! So Mitch and Jenny just bought it. It was mine and Nathan's first time watching it and we loved it!
The rest of the time was spent with my family! I love celebrating my family with them, especially since my brother, Stefan, has his birthday 2 days before mine. We party for all three days and it's a blast. The weather in Utah was beautiful that weekend. We walked to the park and played catch, barbecued some brawts, and just relaxed.
Us siblings also got to help Karl ask a girl out to his first Prom. I was so glad we were down to be able to help with that. It was fun to help decorate and see how cute and creative my little brother is. He had big letters that said, "PROM?" outside, and then left a trail of white roses to her bedroom with a note. We got to help with the room decorating! aka trashing
For my actually birthday my sister Karissa made super yummy homemade Fettuccine Alfredo and Brownie Waffles for dessert.
When we got back home we headed over to the Leavitt's. Karly had made a delicious chocolate cake! She's the best! The Klingler's came over too and we all enjoyed it together! Perfect way to end my birthday.
Being 25 these past couple of days hasn't been as bad as I thought. I think this will be a good year for me and I can't wait to see what lies ahead.
By the way! Did you know that the internet is also 25 years old now? Pretty cool.

You are so old! But so awesome! And cute! And nice! So it makes up for it! Can't believe you've been around so long! Cray Cray! ;)
