7 Months Old

Stockton is such a happy and fun little dude. (That's one of my nick names for him, Little Dude.) I know I say this every time, but he really is getting to be more and more fun with each new stage and we love it!

He is always happy when he wakes up for the day. Stockton chats away while laying on his stomach and peaks through the crib bars waiting for me to come get him. As soon as I open the door his face lights up and he starts kicking excitedly. His smile is the best way to start the day!

Stockton also kicks excitedly while in his high chair. I've noticed that when he really likes what he is eating he will kick or rub his feet together. It is seriously adorable! He's also started this silly thing where he scrunches up his face and sniffs quickly. It usually happens when he's about to get frustrated, but he'll also copy us if we do it and does it more when we laugh.

The weather has been super nice and we have enjoyed lots of Fall hiking adventures. Nathan and I really enjoy showing Stockton new things and places so the Fall leaves have been fun to have Stockton see and touch. We think he likes it too, or he's just a good sport and humors us.

We took Stockton to his first pumpkin patch with our friends the Moores and Hawkes. Stockton was super cute when we let him feel, hold, and sit on the pumpkins.

At 7 Months Stockton:
  • Is super smiley
  • Sleeps on his stomach
  • Sits up without supervision and catches himself if he starts to fall over
  • Rolls all over the place in his crib and peaks through the bars when he wakes up
  • Kicks and rubs his feet together while happily eating in his high chair
  • Can hold himself up in the crawling position (if we help put him in it)
  • Grabs at everything and twists his wrist when he's investigating something he is holding
  • Scrunches up his nose and sniffs (Sometimes on demand, usually when frustrated, or being silly. It's so cute!)
  • Loves to read books and help turn the pages
