Pregnancy: Weeks 26-27

26 Weeks: I had a little scare this week. Really it was just me over reacting, but I was nervous! After having an awesome doctors visit the week before and finding out everything was looking great I was on top of life. My baby was becoming more active and I could always feel him when laying down for bed.

Well, during week 26 I felt like I wasn't feeling our little guy move as much. When I did feel him it was really subtle and it was down low in my pelvic area, and usually I would feel most of his movements up on my sides or by my ribs.

Needless to say, I made my self a worried little momma. I was reading things about how it could be signs of preterm labor. I was nervous something had happened to him and that's why he wasn't moving as much or as strongly. When I did feel him I'd beg him to move again, or make a stronger movement so I knew he was ok, but it didn't happen. I was tempted to call my doctor and go in for an early check up to make sure everything was ok.

I hadn't told Nathan of my worries until near the end of the week when I asked him to give me and the baby a blessing. I wish I would have talk to him sooner, because he helped me feel so much better.

27 Weeks: After scaring me the week before, this little boy has sure made up for it with a lot of movement! If I lay and watch my belly I can see him move around. I am feeling very relieved and a little dumb for worrying so much last week.

As far as pregnancy symptoms go, heartburn has made a come back and attacks me every single night. No fun at all! My back also gets tired by the end of the night, but other than that everything is great. Baby is about the size of an acorn squash and moving like crazy.

With Christmas around the corner we did an Angel tree with Nathan's family and picked a 6 month old baby boy. I was having a blast looking at all of the cute little boy things. Clothes, stuffed animals, toys... I was loving it all!
